- Whew...black hair is so tough to highlight, but I think I am slowly getting somewhere with it. Matsu looks like he is meant to..otherwise this page took very little time as you can probably tell..: )

Job update: I epically quit! (kinda...) but I still haven't been paid, sigh...promises promises apparently. BUT. AFter sending out over 30 applications all december, and getting over 20 rejections, I GOT A TREE PLANTING JOB THIS SUMMER!!!!Am I ready for one of the most physically demanding jobs one can do in this day and age? No. Would I rather just draw and enjoy life until hellish summer job but make as much money as I would working all year long? YES. And I have an interview at blockbuster next week which I might take up to make some money for my tree planting equipment and bus ticket and stuff. SO...hopefully I will still be paid from the horrible job, but at least no more horrible soliciting experiences on my part. : D

@lalland- one of these pages...one of these pages I swear. : D

@Jazeki - you shall find out in...one page? : ) Aka next week.

@Akiaa - I grew up in a place that never encountered Japanese culture so for the first 5 or so years of me drawing as a kid and going to art school every day was all realism, which I now find a lot faster and easier to draw than manga to this day...heh. But I am glad I started there as now I can go into a lot more directions in terms of style, basing off of realism, rather than manga. I have a few friends who are PHENOMENAL manga artists, but now that they're getting into animation and have tried changing their style, they still d=struggle with everyone telling them "oh, that looks so anime!"

@Sol - aww, come on, she's not THAT mean. Especially considering he's her only social life.

@Kuroi - mhm, I am working hard on doing just that. I've more or less broken out of the broken-line sketch. There are some great technical books that deal more with perspective and freehand drawing that get you to do silly exercises like fill a page with spirals and straight lines but it does really get you to focus your hand mechanics. And you get way faster at drawing I find.

@Stormrose - I totally agree with you, manga has a super interesting and unique style and does focus on anatomy. I suppose the guy was more bashing things like more intense and detailed muscle drawing (I dont consider DBZ to be accurate to this day no matter what anyone says(I hope i dont insult anyone)) But yes, there are some extremely well drawn and extremely poorly drawn mangas. I wont name any but I'm sure we can all agree on a few. : ) And aside from that, VOILA! page!

@aivilo - you don't know how right you just might be. : )

Gah, Blockbuster... the only job that I've worked in which I was fired >.<.

Besides, being low on the totem pole there sucks, because if they don't meet their quotas, they have to cut hours. And guess who gets cut first <.<.
