- I love how he towers over her in the second panel. Wish I could make him just hug her there... : >

And on a more personal note, I have been promised a paycheck this Monday, and then I will triumphantly quit (after its been approved by the bank that is, I really wanted to do one of those epic "you know what boss? I QUIT!" but I gotta play it safe..) so please keep your fingers crossed so it all works out! Thanks to all who wished me luck. : >

And lastly, if anyone is interested in my art outside of manga stuff (cause I seem to be drawing less and less manga related art and trying to find a style of my own outside of bullet, plus my school heavily frowns on manga stuff...sigh (I got yelled at by some first year student while working on a page of bullet at school about how I should make it an american style comic, manga knows no anatomy, blah blah blah) I told him my story is heavily based on expressiveness of characters and I have never seen an american style comic that isn't crammed with words on every page. manga seems to deal with emotions a bit better as comic realism is a bit restricted. Sometimes it's just nice to have a silent moment on a page where the way the characters interact tells the story itself. We are now friends. : ) BUUUUT...the whole point of this rant is to get you to go right here to me frequently updated blog of utter randomness and sketching and animation and whatever else I choose to post. And stories to tell. http://yuliyastone.blogspot.com/
There will be lots of reference drawing of things in daily life as I tend to draw lots of that these days (especially geese..) Hope you find it useful!

@ lalaland - thank you! I work hard on my perspective these days

@Jazeki - thanks for your support and glad you liked it!

@Amorii Blossom - thank you!

@Magka-ka - once this financial crisis is over and I am unemployed I will have tons more time to work on my personal projects (so I claim at least..)

@kuroi0hitsuji - you make an excellent point. creating proper shape with tone is tough and I used to use tone as an excuse to cover up poor anatomy and other skills which I was just too lazy to learn. Now I am forcing myself to draw things I am bad at every day to get better. And the whole "dont scribble, keep one smooth line even if its wobbly in terms of sketching )

I remember my teacher told me once not to draw manga because I wouldn't be able to draw a realistic person then. I still think drawing manga is fine for showing better character expressions and it's good rest from reality. And that's why I stopped drawing manga at schol, they never like it =|

also wish yoo luck on quitting

Well actually keeping one line isn't an issue when it's SKETCH. I dont double line when I sketch and honestly, sometimes I wish I did. It helps me give more depth and when I ink it, it let's me give that sort of professional inking look when I double line on the ink owo

Well, face anatomy, okay I see that, but manga has anatomy. And it all really depends on style how close it gets to real anatomy.

Anyway, I love the page, I can't wait to see what happens next! *cue anticipation*
